Wayne Vansant and Jamal Igle at Mid-Georgia Comic Convention March 15 & 16

mgacon The worlds of television, movies, books, and most of all comics and graphic novels will converge this weekend in Macon, Georgia. Graphic novel fans will have the chance to purchase Molly Danger and Katusha Books 1 & 2 from their creators this weekend, March 15th & 16th, when the Macon Centreplex Convention Center and Coliseum hosts the Middle Georgia Comic Convention. Also known as MGA Con, the show will feature a wide variety of guests, dealers, screenings, and other activities that make the imagination soar.  GDC clients Jamal Igle (creator of Molly Danger and Marketing Director of Action Lab Comics) and Wayne Vansant (creator of Katusha and the Zenith Graphic Histories series) will be in attendance with copies of their books for sale. [ezcol_2third]One of the most popular and prolific pencillers in the comic book industry, Jamal Igle is an award winning artist and writer. The Creator of Molly Danger best known for his run on Supergirl with writer Sterling Gates, Jamal has been a professional jack of all trades for nearly 20 years, drawing every title from Action Comics to Zatanna for DC Comics. A former comics retailer, Editor for several small press companies including TV Comics, Airwave Comics and Destination Entertainment. Former Junior Art Director and Marketing rep in the Advertising and publishing arenas. Jamal’s clients include Marvel Comics, Image Comics, Dark Angel productions/ Simmons and Company, Devil’s Due Studios, IDW Publishing, Walt Disney inc., Sony Television, CBS Television , Warner Bros. Consumer products and Scholastic Entertainment. The first two books of his trilogy Katusha: Girl Soldier of the Great Patriotic War are now in print and digital from Grand Design Publishing.
