The GDC team has been involved with the Brian Wood DC Comics/Vertigo series Northlanders. It’s rare that an international version surpasses the original. But apparently, the creator and the publisher of the comic book series were so impressed by the French edition of Northlanders (from Urban Comics) that they decided to reissue theirs, including some of the content from that other version. Good for them… and for us! When they started searching for people with an understanding of comics as well as expertise with French and English languages, Grand Design Communications was the right partner! We translated two long pieces, the foreword and afterword of the book, originally penned byFrench author and Viking specialist Patrick Weber.
